HMD Global launched the successor to the New Nokia 6 (first impressions) in India in the form of the New Nokia 6. The phone was originally unveiled at a pre-MWC event in February in two variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. However, in India, the brand only launched the base model in April. Now, the company has released the 4GB RAM version of the New Nokia 6 in the country as well.
The 4GB RAM variant of the New Nokia 6 is priced at Rs 18,999, Rs 2,000 higher than the 3GB RAM model. The new smartphone will be available exclusively to buy from Amazon India starting May 13th in a single Blue Gold hue.
Apart from higher RAM and storage capacity, the rest of the specs of the New Nokia 6 are the same as the earlier model. The phone boasts an all-metal unibody design, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. The handset sports a 5.5-inch full HD display, and utilises a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC.
Being an Android One-powered offering, the New Nokia 6 boots stock Android Oreo out of the box, and will be receiving updates to the future versions of the OS for the next two years. The camera department includes a 16MP rear snapper with Phase Detection Autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone LED flash, and an 8MP front shooter. A 3,000mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.
